Bit of an incident on Sunday.
The silencer box, which admittedly was only held on by wire, fell off.
Now that wouldn’t have been a problem, until the cutter deck slices into it.
Oops.
Can it be repaired or is it to be an internet search for a replacement?
Who knows?

I’ve been pottering aimlessly around in the garage today. Repaired a gardening colleagues Honda lawn tractor, sharpened cutter blades on two tractor decks and thumb twiddled.
Why am I twiddling thumbs , you may ask.
It’s because I’m not in control of my own destiny.
I’m in the hands of this awful weather, Royal Mail and broken mowers and tractors.
One part despatched 29th May first class postage, still not delivered, three belts somewhere near Chirk and a lawn mower part slowly making its way north from Down South.
Of course the weather will improve eventually I’m sure, but will my equipment be repaired by then.
HAYTER HARRIER 41 road tested and back in service.

Mrs Lawn Ranger has used the oft quoted
“ why do you need so many mowers and tractors?”
Days like today confirm my purchasing wisdom.
I now have a Hayter Harrier 41 mower with a broken cutting height adjuster, a Honda HRB 425 mower with a snapped handle and a Westwood T1600 tractor with a non operating deck clutch.
I feel a Workshop Wednesday coming.

I didn’t know that farmers were so jealous.
The Lawn Ranger was happily mowing a paddock, see photos, when the farmers turned up with their BIG John Deere tractors , forage harvesters and trailers to clear their field.

I’m now wondering whether or not to get a BIG tractor. Don’t think Mrs Lawn Ranger would be too pleased though.
