🔥 Transformation Tuesday 🔥

Delighted to get this one over the line for Racheal and Evan.

When we first arrived, this garden was nothing short of a hazard left behind by the previous owners. There was no safe space for the kids to play and nowhere to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.

So we stripped everything back to the bare bones and started from scratch.

✅ 22m² of Kandla Grey Indian Sandstone
✅ Charcoal edging throughout
✅ 30m² of fresh turf
✅ Grey gravel pathway leading to a bespoke rounded fire pit area

The result? A clean, modern garden with plenty of space to relax, entertain, and let the kids play safely all summer long.

Bit of a mixed week this week, with a couple of jobs ticked off ✅

First up was for Michelle & Andy. Like a lot of new-build properties, the “patio” wasn’t really much of a patio, so we dug it out and extended the area with 35 new slabs. Plenty more space now for outdoor furniture and making the most of the garden this summer.

Second job was a return visit to last week’s project, where we laid the front path using Spanish Beige porcelain. A clean, modern finish leading from the front door down to the footpath and driveway.

A nice steady week all round.

Next week we’re onto a full garden transformation 👀

It’s been a quiet couple of weeks on here, but behind the scenes we’ve been busy transforming this garden in Leyburn 👌

This one was a big job from start to finish:

• Over 50 tonnes of soil/clay removed, completely reducing the overall height of the garden
• 53m² of Earthcore Grey porcelain laid across both patio areas
• Finished with anthracite black edging and Basalt Pro Joint Titan grout
• 15m block wall built, ready to be faced with stone
• Around 17m of concrete fence posts installed with composite fencing
• Finished off with 58m² of fresh new turf 🌱

A challenging project, but the end result made it all worthwhile. Huge thanks to James & Rachael for trusting us with the work — we hope you enjoy your new garden for years to come!

Busy in Northallerton this week for Laura and Tom,

patio extension adding on to what the house builder already put in plus a path, back patio and 60m2 of fresh turf laid.

We’ve had the weather on our side this week it’s been belting,

What a journey it’s been! This week marks 1 year since GH Groundwork’s & Landscaping officially began, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the support we’ve received along the way.

From small garden transformations to full groundwork projects, it’s been a pleasure helping bring our customers’ ideas to life. Every job, big or small, has helped us grow, improve, and build a business we’re proud of.

Short week with the bank holiday, but we still got stuck in 💪

Out in Brough St Giles this week replacing a fence for one of our returning customers — and as you can see, the old one was well past saving… being held up by sleepers and a bit of hope 😅

We’ve ripped it all out and started fresh:
✔️ Bigger, stronger 4-inch posts
✔️ Heavier-duty rails
✔️ Brand new boards throughout

Solid, tidy, and built to last 👌

We’ll be back in August to finish the final section and add capping to complete the job.

Big one over the line today for Vicky & Grant 🤝

65m² of Kandla Grey porcelain tiles laid, and what a transformation this one turned out to be.

The garden started on around five different levels, so we dug out roughly 30–40 tonnes of clay, replaced it with Type 1 stone, and installed sleepers to create a clean raised patio area. We also added a couple of steps to make access smooth and practical.

Finished it all off with black grout to really make those grey tones pop 🔥

Cracking job from start to finish — thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This week we’ve been on the new miller homes site poppy gardens transforming this beast of a garden.

This gardens got 4/5 different levels to it so we’re doing our best to level it out, this week we’ve took out around 40 tonne of soil and turf, added 12 tonne of type 1 stone and started laying some lovely Kandla Grey porcelain.

We will get this one over the finish line next week with a raised patio area and a sleeper retaining wall all the way round keep an eye out to see the end product it’s going to look mint 😮‍💨

Been busy over the last couple of weeks with two retaining wall projects on the same street.

First job:
The original timber sleepers had completely rotted over the years, so we removed them and installed a solid concrete block retaining wall, ready for the customer to clad to their preferred finish.

Second job:
A returning customer who we previously completed a sandstone retaining wall for at the bottom of their garden. This time we removed the rotten sleepers at the top of the garden and built a new sandstone block retaining wall, finished off with some lovely coping stones.

Great to see both gardens getting a long-lasting upgrade.
