Here's a recent commission I was asked to replace some beautiful oak panelling which had become rotten due to damp pe*******on from outside. I had cutters specially made to match the existing profiles on the panelling and cornice. Coloured with vandyke crystals, finished with a polyurethane oil.

Most recent commission, 4 x 2m Douglas fir gates with a curved detail at the top, fitted with old reclaimed heavy duty strap hinges.

This is a recent staircase accending over three stories. Constructed from prime Oak with pine treads. The middle flight on each staircase being structural, with a steel joist running through the stair string and housed into the masonry on either side. I do love making stairs. Still a few finishing bits to do on this job.

This week I've been finishing the install of these lovely prime Oak windows and doors on a barn conversion on Dartmoor. Full weather sealed and double glazed with 24mm units. Finished in teknos aqua oil with UV protection base coats and slightly tinted top coat.
Definitely the largest set of doors I've built to date.

So... A friend asked if could build a model of the very famous and beautiful coronation throne for his production of Henry V shakespeare play... I said i cold build him a basic shape from ply for him to decorate.... But i got slightly carried away. One of my favourite things to do is copy work from photos so i thoroughly enjoyed myself building this... My only regret is not starting sooner so i could re create all of the intricate mouldings and carving decorations as seen on the real thing in the last two photos... Maybe it's to be continued...

Made from Tulipwood with birch plywood shelving. A very enjoyable project to work on.
