A third of this dangerous tree had fallen in the wind. The remaining 2 thirds was split down the middle right to the floor. 3 other tree surgeons turned the job down. It was overhanging 5 different gardens with sheds and fences everywhere but we roped it down and with 6 of us on the job dismantled it using lowering ropes before the threat of more windy weather.

This is my new cherry picker. At £45 000 plus vat and a 3500 trailer to tow it I was a bit nervous. But I rent these things 1 day a week on average anyway . It's on tracks and Iweighs 2.2 tons goes up to 55 ft high and 7.5 meters out to the side and rotates roumd 360 degrees I intend to hire it out for 180 per day. Today is the first time I have used it. It's fast. Has a computer on board that connects to satelite so if it goes wrong the company I bought it from will do diagnostics over the phone and tell me what's wrong with it. The cage can take 230 kg a lot more than i am used to. A very safe piece of kit. Well pleased. In the first week I have already rented it out for 2 days. So I don't think I will look back on this one.
