Well…………………………………………………..!!!

What a couple of weeks it’s been, welcoming 4 new members of staff to the team, opening up the batching plant and serving Somerset, Bristol and beyond with quality ready mix and volumetric concrete.

It’s not all been plain sailing, we’ve had breakdowns, meltdowns and sundowns but it’s all worth it!

Thanks must go to our amazing team, from the operators to the management for all their hard graft and continuous efforts, also a big thanks to our customers both existing and unbelievable amount of new ones, we’re blown away with the interest our small company has had and the amount of positive feedback we’ve received, still plenty more to give and already looking forward to what next week brings.

Due to expansion we have 2 vacancies for

1 x HGV Class 2 MIXER DRIVER

&

1 x HGV Class 2 VOLUMETRIC DRIVER !

Somerset Concrete strives to be a leading supplier of concrete in the South West!

With our volumtric mixers we offer ‘mix on site’ services and have built up a strong base of regular customers! and now ready mix concrete too 😃

We expect all our drivers to be polite and helpful to all customers new and old!

Dutys to include but not exclusive to-

- Delivering concrete to the South West
- Daily checks
- Light maintenance duties
- Filling in our POD system correctly
- Washing down lorries correctly at the end of the day

What we offer

What we need from you

- Hard working
- Reliable
- Good comunication skills
- HGV Class 2 licence
- In date CPC
- In date Tachograpgh digi card
- A good knowledge of driving hours and working time directive
- Concrete experience is favoured but not essential as full training will be given

Weekend work is available but not expected every other week!

Start time and finish time vary due to the nature of the work !
