Once again it's been ages since I posted anything. But here is the main project I have been working on. A 2 meter long oak table and bench!

This is the largest thing I have made in my little work shed and it was a definite squeeze at some points. You can see in the pictures that the table top glue up basically used all available space. I was having to crawl around to get in and out 😅

I used sapele wood to brace the underside of the table and bench, and even with three adults sat on the bench I couldn't feel it move at all. The client wanted metal legs which I was happy to supply and install on delivery.

Although the build itself wasn't too complicated, the size made up for it. Thankfully the weather was good and I could make the most of the garden (and at one point the living room).

Had a little break whilst visiting family in Amsterdam so took a little longer to post about this build but here we go.

I have been planning this coffee table for around 3 years I think. I have had the wood taking up space for all of that time as well so nice to reclaim that 😅

Originally I was going to make it for myself and instead of blue resin I was going to use gold to continue the theme we have in our living room. But then we had kids and unfortunately our living room isn't big enough for a table and kids. Abi said we had to keep the kids so decided to sell the table.

It has certainly not been easy but every time I do a resin pour I am improving and becoming more efficient with my time.

I truly wish we could keep this piece ourselves but I am sure wherever it ends up someone will enjoy it as much as I do.

Been a little since I posted anything but I have been working hard! The river coffee table is finished, I built a toddler high chair for my eldest daughter and I managed to squeeze in a commission build of a yoni stool before I start my next project of a dining room table!

More to follow on all of these builds, but very pleased with how they all turned out. As always they didn't go smoothly and took about 3 times as long as I thought they would 😅 but it is all good experience and I certainly learnt a lot doing them.

Happy New Year! 🎊🎉

Slow progress on my personal project as I try to fit it around everything else, but starting to take shape now. It is a table top screen. I will use it mostly for playing dungeons and dragons but could be used for any table top game.

I am also looking for bigger commission jobs for the new year. So if there is a project that I can help create with you then please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Managed to get a few hours in the workshop over the weekend, mostly to tidy up. But also managed to build another sofa arm rest tray, which has been on my to-do list for about a year 😅 They are very handy when you don't have a coffee table.

This isn't the sort of thing I plan on putting in the shop, but if you are interested in some I would be happy to make them to order. Just send me a message.
