🚨 We’re looking for an Electrical Contracts Manager / Estimator 🚨

Drake Electrical is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager / Estimator to join the team.
This is a hands-on role working with our small works and maintenance team. You’ll be pricing jobs, managing works on site, supporting clients and making sure projects are delivered safely and properly from start to finish.

🔧 The role includes
• Managing small works and maintenance jobs day to day
• Pricing and quoting electrical works
• Carrying out site surveys and preparing clear estimates
• Managing works from order through to completion
• Coordinating labour, materials and compliance
• Working closely with clients, facilities teams and contractors
• Keeping health and safety standards high on every job

⚡ The work covers
• Commercial and industrial installations
• Fit outs, refurbishments and upgrades
• Power, lighting and distribution
• Testing, remedials and DB upgrades
• Reactive and planned maintenance
• Multi-site small works

👷 What we’re looking for
• Experience in electrical estimating and or contracts management
• Good commercial and industrial knowledge
• Comfortable running multiple jobs at once
• Organised, practical and client-focused
• Proud of quality, safety and doing things properly

🎓 Qualifications
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• 18th Edition
• Testing and inspection, design or SSSTS or SMSTS useful but not essential

A great way to start the year by reflecting on how we finished the last one. 🎉
Just before the Christmas break, the Drake Electrical team swapped hard hats for aprons and headed to the School of Wok for a well-earned change of pace.

What started as a cooking class quickly turned into a lively (and delicious!) team competition. Team Tim, The Breaker Bakers, went head-to-head with Team Bryony, Watt's Cooking, with both teams bringing brilliant energy, teamwork, and plenty of laughs. Congratulations to Watt's Cooking for taking the win! 🥢🏆

More than anything, it was a great opportunity to relax, have fun, and spend quality time together. We also cooked extra meals on the day to donate to a local homeless shelter, a small way to give back while doing something we enjoyed together.

The collaboration, trust, and positive spirit that power our work every day were on full display, exactly the kind of culture we’re proud to build and carry forward into 2026.

As we approach the Christmas period, we’d like to share our office opening hours over the holidays and take a moment to thank our customers for their continued support throughout 2025.

This year has been a particularly positive one for Drake Electrical. We’ve had the opportunity to deliver a wide range of projects, strengthen our systems and processes, and continue raising the standard of service we provide and that simply wouldn’t be possible without the trust and support of our clients.

Our office will be open until 4pm Christmas Eve and will remain closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. We'll be responding to emergency call-outs between 27th-31st Dec, closed on New Year's Day, and will reopen on 2nd Jan. During this period, emergency call-outs will still be available to clients on maintenance contracts.

We’d like to sincerely thank you for working with us over the past year. Your support is genuinely appreciated by everyone across our office and field teams, and we value the strong working relationships we’ve built.
