Bollard Transformation 💪🚧

Quality concrete starts with the right process. Once poured and accurately levelled, the surface is brushed at the correct stage of the curing process to achieve a uniform, slip-resistant finish.

The edges are then hand-finished with a Harris tool, creating clean, durable margins with a professional finish. Finally, the concrete is left to cure correctly, ensuring maximum strength, durability, and long-term performance.

Every stage is completed with precision because the finish is only as good as the process behind it.✨🚧

Last week, we successfully completed the benching to the base of the wet well chamber at our Midlands site.

With the chamber base positioned 6.7m below ground level, concrete was delivered using a large chute system, allowing for safe, accurate, and controlled placement directly to the base of the wet well chamber. This method provided an efficient and streamlined pour while maintaining precision throughout the process.

Once placed, the concrete was carefully built up to the required levels. Following completion of the base coat, the topcoat was applied to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish.

A fantastic effort from the team, with another successful task completed safely and efficiently.✅😎

Planning permission has officially been granted for this exciting two-storey extension to a detached family home in a beautiful semi-rural setting.

Our clients wanted to transform their existing four-bedroom house into their forever home by adding an integrated double garage, a cosy snug, and a luxurious new master suite.

The design respects the property's charming mock-Tudor character while introducing contemporary touches, including composite timber cladding to create a timeless Essex barn-inspired aesthetic.

We can't wait to see this one come to life! 👏

When working below ground level, safety isn't optional—it's essential.

Trench Boxes are safe excavation supports designed to shield workers from cave-ins while carrying out excavation work. Whether installing utilities, repairing pipelines, or completing infrastructure projects, trench boxes provide a safer working environment by protecting crews inside the trench if the surrounding soil collapses. ✅

In these images, our team are using trench box systems while installing deep drainage pipework. With excavations at significant depths, temporary works is critical, ensuring the trench is adequately supported. Using the correct equipment allows our crew to carry out the installation safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest safety standards on site. 😎

Another busy day on site with the team carrying out concrete works to the highest standard. From the preparation and setting out, right through to the pour and finishing stages, every step is completed with precision, care, and attention to detail.

Last week, the lads were making the most of the sunshine in Essex as they pushed on with site preparations.✅

They spent half a day clearing away overgrown vegetation to get the area ready for kerbing installation. Once the site had been cleared, the kerbs were carefully positioned and set out in preparation for concreting.😎

Concreting works then got underway on Friday, marking another significant step forward in the project. Great progress from everyone involved. 💪

Our Team up in the midlands completed some tidy work last week, benching internal pipe penetrations within a 6m deep wet well chamber.

Due to the confined space environment, all works were carried out under strict safety controls. A scissor lift was lowered into the wet well chamber using a 21T excavator to gain safe access to the penetrations.

All penetrations were sealed and finished within the day to provide a watertight connections through the concrete structure.

A great step completed safely and successfully by the team. 💪 👏 ✅

At one of our sites, the support legs on the lorry trailers, when bearing full load onto the concrete over a prolonged period, had caused the surface to deteriorate, resulting in rutted and damaged areas.

To rectify this, the damaged concrete was broken out and replaced with new slabs. Following a two-week curing period to allow the concrete to achieve sufficient strength, 16mm nylon trailer support plates were installed to help distribute the load and prevent future deterioration.👍🏼👷🏼✨💪🏼
