When the heatwave hits… the doors can get swollen too! 😂☀️

Just like ankles after a long hot day, doors can swell in the heat too! This can knock the door out of alignment and put unnecessary strain on the gearbox when lifting the handle.

The customer was experiencing issues with their door after the internals of the gearbox had failed.

On inspection, we found that the gearbox had been put under unnecessary strain due to the door being incorrectly aligned, which contributed to the failure.

We replaced the damaged gearbox and, whilst on site, corrected the door alignment to prevent the new gearbox from being put under the same strain.

✅ New gearbox fitted
✅ Door alignment corrected
✅ Smooth and reliable operation restored

The internal handle had dropped due to broken internal components, leaving the door difficult to operate. We replaced the complete handle set with a brand-new chrome like-for-like replacement, restoring smooth operation and bringing everything back to full working order.

We got a call from a customer who had lost the keys to their home, so we responded as quickly as possible to get them back inside.

Thanks to the type of handle fitted to the door, we were able to gain entry using a non-destructive method, avoiding any unnecessary damage. We then removed the old lock cylinder and fitted a brand-new one, supplied with 5 new keys for complete peace of mind.

Fast response, damage-free entry, and a secure new lock installed. Another job well done! 💪🔐

🔐 Another successful job completed by MrLock&Key 🔐

A customer contacted us after their bifold door would no longer open. Upon inspection, we found the pop-out T-turn handle had failed internally and was no longer popping out to allow operation of the lock.

A replacement handle was sourced and ordered, and we returned to carry out the installation. The faulty unit was removed and replaced with a new pop-out bifold T-turn operated handle, restoring the door to full working order.
