Aspect Paving & Groundworks Ltd is looking for a reliable, semi-skilled or skilled labourer to join our small, family-run team. We are Premier Brett Installers with a full book of high-spec projects and need someone ready to hit the ground running.

Key Requirements:

Mixing Skills: Must be able to knock up cement/mortar to the correct consistency for paving and brickwork efficiently.

Landscaping Experience: General knowledge of groundworks and assisting with high-quality installs.

Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.

Punctuality: Must be able to get to South Woodham Ferrers for a 7:00 AM start every morning.

Employment: Working on a CIS basis (we can help you get this set up if you are new to it).

🌿 Modern Garden Transformation Complete! 🌿

We recently finished this sleek garden upgrade in Chelmsford, featuring a beautiful mix of porcelain paving and artificial grass, designed for style and easy maintenance.

Here’s what we did:
✅ Removed and replaced 31m² of existing patio with Storm Grey 20mm Porcelain slabs (600mm x 900mm) laid on a strong concrete base with a clean grout finish
✅ Installed 8.4 metres of threshold drainage to keep water flowing smoothly
✅ Prepared and installed 70m² of premium ‘Finch 45’ artificial grass with all the right layers underneath for durability and comfort
✅ Built a 19.7m long rendered planter wall, painted in modern grey, topped with one double and two single bespoke solid oak seats, carefully sanded and finished with Osmo UV oil for lasting protection and beauty
✅ Added a gorgeous artificial plant wall supplied by the client, perfect for privacy and a fresh, vibrant look
✅ Carefully moved the client’s existing metal pergola to fit perfectly in the updated space

The end result is a contemporary, low-maintenance garden that’s perfect for relaxing or entertaining.

We recently completed this extensive transformation, giving our client a fully accessible and beautifully structured outdoor space.

🌿 Scope of Works Included:
✔ Demolition and removal of existing patio, paths, walls, and footings (119m²)
✔ Installation of new trench foundations with C30 concrete and rebar, including pads for steps and a ramp to the garden
✔ Construction of a 22m retaining wall using high-density blocks and ET Clay Etna Wirecut Facing Bricks
✔ Laid 98m² of Prostone Grigio 20mm Porcelain paving (800×800mm), finished with exterior grout
✔ Built a 1-tier step to the rear of the house and a 1-tier feature step (4m × 2.4m) with matching porcelain treads
✔ Installed 6 linear metres of threshold drainage and 2 recessed inlay covers
✔ Created a ramp down to the garden for improved accessibility
✔ Supplied and laid 21m² of Terram T1000 membrane, compacted MOT Type 1, and self-binding gravel for the pathway area
✔ Installed Brett Invicta Trio block paving in Onyx as edging to the path and around the shed entrance
✔ Designed and constructed a raised sleeper bed 18 metres long (16 sleepers x 2 high) using 200×100mm oak sleepers, sanded and treated with Osmo UV Oil

🏡 77m² Driveway & Brick Wall Installation

We installed this 77m² driveway using Brett Aura block paving in Bronze Fleck, featuring a tumbled, riven surface that captures the classic charm of traditional stonework. Its natural texture and rich tones create a timeless and elegant finish.

To complement the driveway, we constructed a brick wall incorporating four pillars, using Vandersanden Jubilee facing bricks for a high-quality, durable finish that adds both style and structure.

We also installed Brett High Kerbs to define the flower beds, adding a polished and practical touch to the overall design.

We recently went back to this garden we completed in February. We installed the hard landscaping and turfed the lawn area, however it is our clients clever planting that has brought this garden to life creating a vibrant and tranquil outside space.

We completed this garden makeover in May and recently went back to take photos once the pergoda had been installed.

The patio was completed using 86m2 Techstone Mink 1200mm x 600mm Spanish Porcelain to create a contemporary and low maintenance patio. We fitted double slatted fence panels around the perimeter of the garden along with a Beeston tall solid aluminium gate for security to create this high end look. We then finished the garden with 100m2 of Crowley turf.
