Here's a quick guide to help you choose:

64mm — the narrowest option, closest in character to original plantation shutters found in period homes. Suits smaller windows and Victorian or Edwardian properties where a traditional fine-slatted appearance is the priority.
76mm — the most popular louvre size in the UK market.
89mm — suits large windows and contemporary interiors where a cleaner, more minimal look matters more. Particularly good for bay windows, bifold doors and large modern openings.

Not sure which one is right for your windows? Our surveyor will recommend the best size based on your window proportions and room style during the free home survey.

Most shutters are painted to look clean and contemporary. Graino Paulownia takes a different approach.

Made from sustainable Paulownia hardwood , 30% lighter than traditional hardwoods and naturally resistant to warping , Graino lets the natural wood grain show through. A brushed finish that feels warm, considered and at home in period properties where real timber warmth matters as much as the function.
If you have a Victorian, Edwardian or Georgian home and you want shutters that feel like they belong to the architecture rather than something added to it, this is the one.
Made to measure. Fitted by our own team.

That's the reality of most street-facing kitchens in the UK. Beautiful windows, no privacy.

Full height shutters with a mid-rail give you independent control over the top and bottom louvres. Open the top for natural light while you cook. Close the bottom while you're at the sink. Adjust both as the day changes and the light shifts outside.
It's not a complicated solution. But it's exactly the right one for this kind of window.

Made to measure. Fitted by our own in-house team in a single visit.
