When two resin quotes look almost identical, the real difference is often in the parts you can’t see once the job is finished.

The groundwork. The drainage. The compaction. The materials. And the resin being used.

We only use systems because for us, the finish on day one matters… but how that driveway performs years down the line matters even more.

☀️ Back to one of the hottest days last week… and Day 3 on this transformation.

In this walkthrough, David talks through some of the details starting to bring this driveway together - including those gorgeous limestone setts 🤍

This one is now completely finished, and we LOVE how it’s turned out.

Revenue or reputation…? We’ll choose reputation every time.

Hottest day of the year. Two lads short. Halfway through the job… and we knew the conditions weren’t going to let us deliver the standard we expect.

We had two choices: carry on, get paid and leave something that probably wouldn’t show problems for a year or two…

Or rip it up and do it again.

So that’s exactly what we did.

We called the customer, explained everything, lifted what we’d laid and returned the following week fully staffed to do it properly.

Did it cost us that day? Absolutely.

But our reputation is worth more than one day’s revenue.

If we won’t put our name on it, we don’t leave it behind.

📏 “How do you actually measure for a new driveway?”

If you’ve ever looked at your driveway and wondered where to even start… you’re not alone. 😅

A tape measure will do the job… but you’ll probably need a few extra hands! 😂

The easiest way is to measure the longest length and widest width. If your driveway has curves or awkward shapes, simply square it off and slightly overestimate. It’s much better to have a little extra than come up short when budgeting.
