It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything but we’ve been so busy this last year. Here’s a nice project we did for a repeat customer. Amazing outdoor kitchen area containing an Argentinian style Asado grill and a BBQ. Was an absolute pleasure to do this.

A little post about the stone we are using, it is Limestone which is quarried locally at Once a week quarry near Bakewell, the limestone is millions of years old and is sometimes called Derbyshire Fossil Limestone and you can see why in the first photo. The picture show the fossils of the sea life from this period such as Crinoids, Brachiopod’s, Corals and occasionally a Sharks Tooth !! The third picture is where the stone has been polished, and really highlights the fossils in amazing detail.

A bit of progress on our current job.
3ft of limestone bedrock excavated, 15 cubic metre concrete raft foundation poured before the blockwork started, then a bit of a start on the Limestone walling which is locally quarried and cropped in the Peak District.
Keep an eye out for more progress
