| Appeal for information launched following three burglaries in Wingerworth

We are appealing for information following a series of three burglaries in the Wingerworth area.

All three incidents are believed to have taken place on Wednesday 21 January.

The first incident happened when offenders broke into a home in Bradbury Drive sometime between 6.20am on 21 January and Thursday 22 January at 3pm. It is not yet known if anything was taken.

The second offence happened a short distance away at a property in Parkland Drive between 2pm and 7.47pm when a quantity of cash was taken.

The third incident happened when a home in Walton Way was targeted between 2.20pm and 6.30pm but nothing is believed to have been stolen.

Officers have made extensive enquiries into both incidents but no arrests have been made yet.

We are appealing for any residents who live close-by and have CCTV, Ring doorbell or dash cam footage which covers the time of the offences and have not already spoken to officers to please come forward.

We just wanted to make you aware of some recent reports of burglary in the Wingerworth area. We’re aware of the incidents and are carrying out enquiries, with officers continuing patrols locally to provide reassurance.

We know things like this can be unsettling, so we’re asking residents to please stay alert and take a few simple steps to help keep your homes secure:

Lock doors and windows, even when you’re at home

Keep keys out of sight and away from doors and windows

Make sure sheds, garages and outbuildings are secured

Avoid leaving valuables on display

If you have alarms, lighting or CCTV, please ensure they’re working

Attention to detail is important, When a customer asks can you service our alarm, even though we haven’t installed it originally .. the answer is always YES of Course. The customer needed a company that is Insurance approved, WE ticked all the boxes… Our Bell boxes have a spirit level built in, which would have helped one of our Competitors, see the last picture………
