We are deeply saddened to share the heartbreaking news that our Father "Garage door Mick" Founder of A1 Garage Doors over 30 years ago passed away on Tuesday morning with his family by his side.

He built this company from the ground up with unwavering dedication, integrity, and a genuine passion for serving our community here in Chesterfield. Even though retiring from the day to day running of the business 6 years ago, hes always had his foot in the door keeping us on our toes.

What started as a one man band back in the early 90s grew into the trusted local family company it is today because of his hard work, his hands-on approach, and his commitment to treating every customer like a friend we are where we are today

He wasn't just our boss, He was our guiding light, our mentor, and the one who taught us that quality craftsmanship and that our honest service is second to none, Passing onto us all an unparalleled amount of experience and expertise in the garage door industry

To our incredible team, customers, friends, and neighbours who have supported us over the years we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your loyalty meant the world to him, and it continues to inspire us as we carry on his legacy…..

It’s always been so nice to have so many returning customers ask about him and say what a nice man he is and praised him for the efforts he’d given them and it was always lovely to be asked to “pass on our regards to Mick”

In the coming days and weeks, we'll be navigating through this profound loss as a family while keeping the business running with the same care and reliability he instilled in us….
