Tray swap completed today 🚿

Customer called us to replace an existing shower tray that was displaying multiple cracks.

After removal of the old tray, the cause of the problem was revealed. Floorboards under the tray were missing, a joist had suffered from rot, the tray hadn’t been seated correctly, neither had it been levelled or sufficiently secured in place.

To remedy these issues we…
•Removed all existing floorboards under the tray area
•Cut into the brickwork to insert a new length of timber to secure the rotten joist.
•Added timber reinforcement to the weakened joist.
•Installed a new shower trap.
•Levelled the area.
•Fitted a sheet of 18mm ply as a secure, level base for the new tray.
•Installed a slightly shorter tray so that it could be manoeuvred into place without having to remove existing wallboards, keeping costs to a minimum for the customer.
•Installed a decor trim to seal and conceal the resulting small gap.
•Refitted the original shower screen.
•And finished off by fully resealing the shower area.

Check out this shower alteration we have just completed 🚿

Customers issues with previous enclosure were that it felt to tight, not enough height to get under the top shower head, and the out side of the shower area felt unfinished.

To meet the customers needs we fully ripped it out back to the bare bones.
Increasing the shower tray size from a 700 x 700 to a 760 x 760 just to increase the size by that bit extra, we then added a 250mm shower seat to extend the shower area but to still make it useable due to the sloped ceiling, increasing the usable length from 700mm to a meter.
Next step was to install a concealed shower unit, this allowed for the front wall to be free of bulky fittings, also allowing for the shower head to be installed as high as possible, meaning they could finally get under the shower head.
This was then finished off in silver pearl shower panels with a niche added to store you shower gels as you shower. And then a custom made shelf next to the basin to make the outside look finished.

Check out this stunning kitchen transformation we've just completed.

Originally, this space was a second living room, but the customer had a desire to convert this into a spacious, modern kitchen, allowing them to repurpose the existing smaller kitchen into a downstairs toilet and cloakroom (work we’ll be undertaking at a later date).

To achieve this transformation, we carried out several key tasks.:
•Routing hot and cold-water supply to the room
•Installation of wastewater pipes for sink and dishwasher
•Installation of a new consumer unit for the electrical supply to the new kitchen
•Ceiling re-boarded and plastered with skim coat to walls
•Ceiling spotlights installed
•Kitchen units, invisible joint worktops and appliances installed
•Splashback area tiled
•Designer radiator installed

The bulk of the work was undertaken by our own skilled team, with support from regularly used and trusted tradesmen for the electrical work and plastering. With us project managing to ensure on-time delivery with the least disruption for the customer.

Take a look at this beautiful en-suite we have just completed with floor tiles flowing through into the bedroom.

We went back to square one on this one due to the previous en-suite leaking, causing damage to the floor and walls.

•Waste pipe adapted so shower could be floor level.
•Moisture resistant chipboard and cement board installed
•Boxing reduced to half height to create more space.
•All the walls redone in moisture resistant plasterboard.
•Shower area and floor fully tanked.
•Floor and walls fully tiled.
•Black slate effect tray with black enclosure.
•Black thermostatic bar shower.
•Basin and toilet unit.
•Black designer towel radiator.
•Ceiling plastered.
•New extractor fan.
•New light/extractor switch installed.
•Bedroom floor tiled with new pencil round skirting board.

Repair job completed last weekend.

This customer contacted me due to water dripping from his kitchen ceiling every time the shower was in use.

After we surveyed the job, it was apparent that the tray was cracked due to poor support under the tray.

This information was then passed onto the customer, with the remedial work being to replace the tray, and making a solid base for the new tray to sit on.

We were then asked if we could install a new shower and enclosure, whilst doing the job.

To get this job done correctly, we cut out all the affected flooring under the tray and replaced it with new, we then made a secure base using timber and plywood to fully support the new tray. We installed a new waste for the tray, and then fully resealed the shower area, adding the enclosure and new thermostatic bar shower.

Another job done completed to our high standards and another happy customer.
