Growing Choices is currently organising a second Writing for Well-Being session on the 3rd September which will again be facilitated by Leonie Martin. Also thinking about a small 'performance' event at Growing Choices to show-case the work we've been producing. Get in touch for more info.
Meanwhile the Lancaster Litfest looks good so I thought I'd share it here too!

Litfest are delighted to announce our 2021 Autumn Weekend - 7th-12th October! Join us for 6 days of fantastic events featuring both local and international award-winning writers. Including poetry with Polly Rowena Atkin, Kim Moore and Hannah Hodgson, fiction with Sarah Hall, nature and environment writing with Karen Lloyd - Writer, the inaugural Lancaster International Fiction Lecture with Juan Gabriel Vásquez and the new Litfest Poetry Mosaic!

Today was the first time in 2021 the Growing Choices officially ran a Gardening for Well-being' session . Thank you Chesterfield Care Group for being the first to join us and I look forward to the photos!

Well due to either the weather or the restrictions (or a combination of the two) Growing Choices has still not managed to start up the Carers or gardening session yet this this month! The plus side however is that all the tomatoes are replanted into scrubbed recycled pots. Gardener and seedlings are all doing well!! 😎🥰

Well folks in 44 hours Growing Choices will be opening for the 2021 season, come rain or high water! Both of which look very likely I think!
I've had an idea for a bit of fun with the tomatoes, as potting them up is the next job. There's 21 plants Black Cherry plants to be named, send me the name of your favourite gardener and see if your plant can cast the Tallest Tom Shadow by Solstice.

Get thinking - need your personal Gardener choice by Wednesday lunchtime!

Hi Growing Choices and garden fans, I'd been hoping to get some things going in March but after the latest COVID updates I think a re-think to April is needed. Sorry if you had put the March dates in. Maybe some scope to do 1-1 gardening working I think up until then, it is very good exercise!! Let me know if you're interested Hoping to post some photo updates today too! xx

It's been said many times in the last 6 months that I must have gone to ground. Well yes...
The Growing Choices garden is doing well, if a little quieter than previous years.
I am now moving from sowing to reaping and have the pictures to prove it.
I just need someone to help sort and upload the photographic diary - any volunteers?
Oh and I also need some bright blue paint - Greek blue to complete the Taverna project. All donations welcome 😘
