Wagon and drag loaded up moving firewood timber out of site this week.

Using this setup allows us to efficiently extract larger volumes while still getting timber delivered into some of the tighter yards and smaller firewood producers that bigger artic setups often struggle to access.

Keeping locally sourced timber moving through local suppliers and ready for processing ahead of next winter’s demand.

Specialist machinery brought in this week to keep a large woodland clearance moving efficiently.

Including this 12” tracked Bandit chipper helping process material directly on site while allowing access through difficult terrain and tighter woodland routes where wheeled machinery would struggle.

Think the resident pig was quite happy with today’s woodland management job… 🐷

Spent most of the day following us around hoping to jump in the cab and come home with us. Safe to say productivity dropped slightly whenever he appeared looking for attention.

Not every site supervisor wears hi-vis.

These smaller bags are ideal for open fires, log burners, camping and fire pits while still holding considerably more than your average garage forecourt net.

Avant loader making light work of timber extraction from site 🌲

Ash Dieback Recovery – West Sussex

Ash dieback continues to feel like a never-ending issue across our area, with acres of dead and declining trees where there was once a thriving habitat.

We’re currently helping landowners retain the remaining value by harvesting dead ash for firewood before it deteriorates beyond use and becomes a costly clear-up operation.

By recovering that value now, the landowner can help subsidise the replanting of the site and support the creation of future habitats and healthier ecosystems.

Oversize Firewood 🔥

Another load of oversize firewood heading out to a loyal customer who snaps it up whenever it becomes available.

Demand for firewood continues to stay strong as rising energy costs push more people towards solid fuel heating and stocking up well ahead of winter.

Forestry Track Reinstatement

The winter extraction routes between the woodland and loading bay have now dried out.

With the ground firmly hardened up, we’ve been back in to reinstate and tidy these routes, leaving them ready for reseeding and recovery.
