🌙 Night Shift Transformation 🌙

When the store closed, we got to work. Over 2 nights, our team repainted the main staircase and escalator walls — working efficiently to avoid disrupting daytime trade 🎨

Using scaffold towers, we safely reached every area to deliver a clean, fresh finish from top to bottom 💪

The result? A brighter, refreshed space ready to welcome customers back in the morning ✨

🚧 Before & After: Delivery Bay Transformation 🚧

This project tackled a seriously sinking delivery bay slab that had become unsafe and unfit for daily use.

🔨 What we did:• Cut out and removed the failed concrete slab• Excavated the underlying ground to address the root cause• Prepared and stabilised the sub-base• Installed a brand new reinforced C35 concrete slab built to handle heavy loads delivery bay loads

💪 The result? A strong, durable surface ready for constant delivery traffic — built to last.

🛠️ New Till Installation Completed

Our team recently carried out a new till installation, including the installation of electrical socket outlets, CAT7 communications cabling, and data modules to ensure reliable power and reliable connectivity for the new system.

As part of the works, we also repaired damaged flooring throughout the store area using Polyflor commercial flooring, professionally installed and heat welded to achieve a seamless and durable finish.

All works were completed overnight to minimise disruption to the store’s operations.

Another project delivered efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

🔨 Roof Upgrade Complete

We were tasked with replacing the plastic sheet roof covering protecting an expensive external walk-in fridge.

The old roof covering was carefully removed, and we installed a new 18mm OSB deck finished with a durable rubber roofing system, creating a much stronger, weatherproof solution designed to last.

Another project delivered with quality and reliability by UK Base Construction.

💡 Stairwell Lighting Upgrade Complete

We recently upgraded the stairwell lighting at The Kings Head Inn, Salisbury for JD Wetherspoon.

The old light fittings have been replaced with bright, energy-efficient LED fittings and upgraded emergency lighting (EML), improving visibility, safety, and compliance throughout the stairwell.

🔥 From Fire-Damaged to Fire-Rated & Secure 🔐
This project involved removing an old, fire-damaged wooden door that was no longer safe, secure, or compliant. Years of wear — and serious fire damage — had compromised both its structural integrity and protection level.
🚪❌ Old Door Issues:
• Fire damage weakening the frame
• Warping and cracking
• No real security resistance
• Not compliant with modern fire safety standards
We safely removed the damaged timber door and replaced it with a high-security steel fire-rated door fitted with a panic bar system for fast, safe emergency exit.
✅ What the Upgrade Delivered:
• Fire-rated steel construction
• Reinforced frame installation
• Anti-intrusion security features
• Push-bar (panic hardware) for safe egress
• Fully compliant with current fire regulations
