The finishing stages are well underway and the transformation is really starting to show.

Decoration has begun, the new utility room is taking shape, sanitaryware and bathroom fittings are going in, and those all important finishing touches are happening.

The cheapest building quote isn’t always the cheapest build. 👀

When you’re comparing quotations for a building project, it’s tempting to head straight for the figure at the bottom. But what’s included within that figure matters much more.

Provisional Sums and Prime Cost Sums are allowances commonly used within building estimates. They’re perfectly normal, but if you don’t understand what they cover, two quotations that appear similar could actually be very different.

Knowing what you’re looking at can help you compare quotes properly, ask the right questions and have a much clearer understanding of what your project could ultimately cost.

It’s been a little while since we shared an update from our period farmhouse project, and a LOT has changed! 👀

The transformation is really starting to show now, with rooms plastered, new windows and internal doors fitted, and tiling well underway throughout the property.

After so much of the earlier work focused on opening up spaces, structural changes and everything happening behind the walls, we’re now reaching the stages where you can really start to see this period farmhouse coming back together.

There’s still plenty happening on site, but with more of the finishes now going in, it’s exciting to see the character of the property beginning to shine through again.

🚧 NEW PROJECT ALERT 🚧

There’s something particularly nice about being invited back by an existing client. 👌

We’re back at a property we’ve worked on previously to start another project, this time creating a brand new, larger garage and workshop attached to our clients home.

The existing garage is coming down to make way for the new structure, giving our clients considerably more space and creating something that works much better for the property and their needs.

We’re really looking forward to getting stuck into this one, and we’ll be sharing the transformation as the build progresses. 👀

The FINAL REVEAL is here! 👀

We are delighted to share the finished pool house for one of our existing clients. Having carried out previous substantial works at the property, it was a pleasure to be invited back to create this bespoke addition to their home.

Designed as a contemporary and functional space to complement the future swimming pool and surrounding garden, the finished result combines natural timber cladding, large glazed openings, bespoke cabinetry and carefully considered interior finishes throughout.

A fantastic project to have been part of and one we are very proud to hand over.

There’s been plenty happening behind the scenes at our Beaconsfield renovation project.

With the plaster fully dried, our carpenters completed a range of bespoke joinery, including practical boxing in and clever storage solutions that will give the home a clean, seamless finish while making the very best use of the available space.

The bathroom floors were also latexed, creating a perfectly level surface ready for the next stage of the build.

With decoration, tiling, bathroom and utility installations all up next, this renovation is really starting to come together!
