A hidden detail you’ll never see... 👀

As part of our period farmhouse renovation, we’ve been carefully restoring the original chimney by repairing damaged brickwork and preserving the character of this beautiful property.

But hidden within the chimney is a coin, placed there by our bricklayer as a nod to a long standing building tradition, said to bring good fortune to the building and its future occupants.

For us, it also reflects something else. The pride that skilled craftspeople take in their work and knowing that long after the scaffolding has gone and the project is complete, a small part of their story remains within the building itself.

It’s details like these that make working on historic buildings so special. Not just restoring the past, but becoming a small part of its ongoing story.

When people look at a finished renovation, extension or new build, they see the end result.

What they might not see is the investment in training, team development and industry learning that helps make those projects successful.

More progress on our bespoke pool house project 👌

Since our last update, the internal walls have now been plastered at our bespoke pool house project.

Our client chose a slimline aluminium bi-fold door which provides the area with lots of natural light (when the protection comes off!) and it also creates a strong connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Floor insulation and a further membrane is now in place, ready for the installation of the underfloor heating as work continues on site.

Plenty of progress to come on this exciting project 👀

Our bespoke pool house project is continuing to take shape nicely 👌

With the timber cladding progressing well, plaster boarding now largely complete internally and the contemporary structure fully visible, the overall design and character of the building are really starting to come through.

New Project Alert 🚧 We’re pleased to be underway on a new project in Beaconsfield, working on the renovation and remodelling of a beautiful family home 🏡

With progress already on site, this scheme includes a range of internal modifications designed to improve layout, flow and overall functionality, while enhancing the character of the existing property.

Looking forward to sharing more as the project develops!

Back to the garage build, where the external finishing touches are really bringing the building together.

The featheredge cladding is now in place, complemented beautifully by the bespoke new doors and window, giving the garage a clean, traditional finish that sits perfectly within its listed building surroundings.

Inside, the second fix electrics are now complete, and we’re currently laying the self-levelling latex compound, creating a smooth and even base across the floor as the internal works continue to progress.

Another satisfying stage of progress on this project.
