The Stump Grinder North East was at Ryton Golf club to complete a clearance job removing over forty stumps, half of these being a line of Poplars averaging about a metre across.
This was my final job before retirement this week apart from a few loose ends to tie up.
Ryton have been a valued customer over the years along with several other golf clubs and showed their appreciation by handing over a bottle of bubbly before I left.
Both machines will undergo some refurbishment before being advertised for sale along with the trailer and a few other items.
As yet we haven't found anyone to take on the business however there are some interested parties considering this.
I'd like to thank all my previous customers, friends and family for their support over the years especially my wife Emma who has done so much behind the scenes on top of her regular job.

The Stump Grinder North East was at a lovely location just outside of Morpeth today. There were several small to medium sized stumps to remove and a larger one from a wind blown Conifer which will make way for hard standing area now. The lawns were wet to say the least but were boarded to allow damage free access with the tracked machine.

The Stump Grinder North East was at an equestrian centre in Northumberland today.
Two machines were used. The FSI B22 was utilised to cross some recently layed turf and take care of about a dozen small stumps.
The Bandit SG40 made short work of a larger opponent once it was reduced with the saw, making management of the waste much easier.

The Stump Grinder North East was on a golf course in South Tyneside today. There were around fifty stumps to remove in total although some were quite small. Nonetheless we opted to engage them all with the Bandit SG40 in order to get the job completed within the day.
This is one of five golf clubs that we regularly do work for but there's always room for more!

The Stump Grinder North East was in Alnwick today to remove a large double stemmed Cherry stump. It was removed in its entirety including the root plate in preparation for the paving to be extended. The client may just seed this as a temporary measure but maximum depth future proofs them when they decide to pave.

The Stump Grinder North East was at a lovely Northumberland hall today, one of several that we are approved contractors for.
A bit of a wet start but the rain eased off around lunchtime.
Two reasonable sized Ash stumps were removed on one of the lawns as the trees had suffered from Ash Dieback.
Moving down to an area of meadow after lunch saw two Cherry stumps removed.

The Stump Grinder North East had a trip up to Kirknewton in the foot hills of the Cheviots today.
This Conifer stump was to be reduced then ground out completely to facilitate a concrete plinth. The decision to demolish the unwanted concrete bunker was made on the day with the customer as the root plate had already started to destroy it. This meant that the stump and root plate could be removed in its entirety.
The Bandit SG40 made short work of this once the preparation was out of the way!

The Stump Grinder North East undertook a large garden clearance job in Ashington today.
Some close fitting vehicle access to the property but managed to just squeeze through!
The job itself involved a row of Leylandii stumps to be ground out in preparation for a fence and garden makeover. There was a large Conifer embedded in concrete and a few others which also had their fair share of concrete surrounding them. The site will now be left to the landscapers and their diggers.

A bit of a wet one this morning for The Stump Grinder North East in Silksworth, South Tyneside. A Holly stump was removed so the customer could replant with some smaller shrubs. The FSI B22 still proving to be as versatile as ever.
