Not been on socials for a while with one thing and another but forget that, check out this double dorma job completed in Chorley the other week by the team.
These were hard work as they were joined to next door and also share one internal outlet so not the most straightforward job but us and the customer were happy with the finish.
Fully stripped the existing roof, fitted firrings to create correct falls, fitted a timber curb to separate from next doors then sealed that in with mineral, fitted the 18mm osb substrate and topped with Protan SE mechanically fastened system keeping this customer dry for many years to come 😎

Wrapped this one up despite the rain this week.
We overlaid the old Firestone roof with a Protan SE system, fully encapsulated the parapet, and replaced a faulty internal outlet with a new through-wall outlet.
Built to last — and another happy customer!

Our third bay window in a row on this str**t today
This one was abit different though as the customer asked for us to do what we thinks best to seal the coping stones in so we decided to give it a go in membrane...
And this was the finished product, which I was quite happy with mysel. We stripped all the old roofs off and replaced with 18mm osb then topped with Protan fully adhered system then dressed the coping stones accordingly 😎

A few shots from our recent domestic project over in Morecambe, where we tackled another failed roof system.

This particular roof had rotted from underneath the plywood substrate due to a lack of airflow — a common issue with parapet wall details where condensation can build up over time.

The only real solution here was a full strip-out: the old EPDM covering and what was left of the damaged plywood were removed, then new firrings and ply were installed. We finished the deck with Protan’s fully adhered system, mechanically fastened around the perimeter, ready for the cappings to be reinstated by others.

We’ll be heading back next week to install vents and ensure this roof stays healthy for the long haul.
