✨ DRIVEWAY TRANSFORMATION – FULL JOURNEY! ✨

We turned this old, worn, patchy driveway into a sleek, brand-new finish – and the whole job was completed in just 3 DAYS, even working through 30°C heat the whole time! ☀️🥵 The team absolutely smashed it, working flat out in scorching temperatures to get this finished to the highest standard, without cutting any corners at all.
Here’s exactly how it all came together:
🗓️ DAY 1: PREPARATION & EXCAVATION
Everything started by completely stripping out the old, cracked tarmac and removing all the loose gravel and broken edges. We dug out the existing surface to the correct depth, took away all the waste, and levelled and compacted the ground ready for the new foundation. We also installed new concrete edging along the fence line to create a strong, straight boundary and make sure everything was perfectly lined up. Even in the blazing sun, we made sure every bit of prep was spot on – because great results start with great groundwork!
🗓️ DAY 2: BASE, EDGING & BLOCK PAVING
Next, we laid and compacted a heavy-duty new sub-base – this is what gives the driveway its strength and stops it sinking or cracking later. Then came the detail work: we installed the full border using high-quality charcoal block paving, with a beautiful contrasting band of light-coloured blocks running through the middle. We also created the smooth curved edge around the front of the house, following the garden shape perfectly, and laid matching curved edging blocks to frame the planting area. Everything was cemented in place and checked for levels to make it all sharp and neat. Working in that heat was tough, but we kept going to get every detail just right.
🗓️ DAY 3: NEW TARMAC & FINISHING TOUCHES
The final day! We laid fresh, hot black tarmac across the whole area – nice and thick, smooth, and even. It was rolled out perfectly to get that deep, rich black finish, sloped correctly for drainage, and butted right up tight against all the new block edges so there are no gaps or messy joins. We tidied up every last bit, swept down the paths, and left it all looking clean, sharp, and ready to use.
The difference is honestly unbelievable. From tired, patchy, and uneven… to a flawless, professional finish that looks 100% brand new. The block border really sets it off, the curve flows perfectly, and the deep black tarmac makes the whole front of the house look so much smarter, cleaner, and more modern 🖤🏡
