Glendale is Hiring, Mechanical Engineer/Contract Fitter 🔧🌳

Are you an experienced mechanical engineer or fitter with a strong knowledge of horticultural machinery and grounds maintenance equipment?

Glendale is looking for a Mechanical Engineer/Contract Fitter to join its Kingston upon Thames contract. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant and ready for use.

The role will involve working on two-stroke machinery, pedestrian equipment, Kubota ride-on mowers, tractors and their implements. You will diagnose faults, complete repairs at the Kingston depot and attend sites to resolve breakdowns and puncture issues.

You will also manage service schedules, order replacement parts and maintain accurate asset and maintenance records. Further responsibilities include arranging specialist supplier support and helping staff understand basic machinery maintenance.

Glendale is looking for someone with experience maintaining grounds maintenance equipment and a good knowledge of fault finding and diagnostics. A Level 2 qualification in land-based service engineering or a similar subject is preferred. Applicants with a relevant apprenticeship may also be considered. A full driving licence is essential.

💼 Location: Kingston upon Thames
🔧 Experience: Ideally three years in a similar role, or at least two years maintaining grounds maintenance equipment

Glendale is Hiring, QHSE Compliance Officer 🌳

Are you an experienced QHSE professional based in Milton Keynes or the wider South East, with a strong background in auditing, compliance and environmental standards?

Glendale is looking for a QHSE Compliance Officer to support compliance, risk management and sustainability across its national green services contracts. The role is based in Milton Keynes, with regular travel to operational sites across the UK.

You will carry out on-site compliance audits, assess operations against legislation, Glendale policies and client requirements, and work with Contract Managers, Directors, clients and operational teams to identify risks and support corrective actions.

The position also includes maintaining risk registers, monitoring changes in legislation, supporting regulatory inspections and developing environmental training, procedures and toolbox talks for operational teams.

Glendale is looking for someone with proven QHSE, auditing or compliance experience, alongside a relevant qualification such as a NEBOSH Environmental Certificate and ISO 14001 Lead or Internal Auditor certification. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel are also required.
