Glendale is Hiring, Mechanical Engineer/Contract Fitter 🔧🌳
Are you an experienced mechanical engineer or fitter with a strong knowledge of horticultural machinery and grounds maintenance equipment?
Glendale is looking for a Mechanical Engineer/Contract Fitter to join its Kingston upon Thames contract. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing machinery, ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant and ready for use.
The role will involve working on two-stroke machinery, pedestrian equipment, Kubota ride-on mowers, tractors and their implements. You will diagnose faults, complete repairs at the Kingston depot and attend sites to resolve breakdowns and puncture issues.
You will also manage service schedules, order replacement parts and maintain accurate asset and maintenance records. Further responsibilities include arranging specialist supplier support and helping staff understand basic machinery maintenance.
Glendale is looking for someone with experience maintaining grounds maintenance equipment and a good knowledge of fault finding and diagnostics. A Level 2 qualification in land-based service engineering or a similar subject is preferred. Applicants with a relevant apprenticeship may also be considered. A full driving licence is essential.

🔧 Experience: Ideally three years in a similar role, or at least two years maintaining grounds maintenance equipment
