“You must love this weather, I bet you’re quiet!” … we hear this regularly at this time of year.

But here at SJL Heating & Plumbing we never stop because of the sun!!

💧 One Loft, Multiple Bursts!! 💧💦

Today we were called to an empty property that has poor loft insulation and the heating was left off as the property was unoccupied.

Maybe not the best idea! Thankfully our customer had the foresight to keep the main water turned off but this didn’t stop the pipes freezing and bursts appeared across the loft space!

A full repipe and insulation booked in and thankfully we were able to help avoid a complete disaster!

A bargain for someone!
January is the time we consolidate! We are selling off some excess stock at bargain prices just to release a little space at SJL Towers!

We have a shower screen that’s now surplus to requirements and we are selling this for just £65 on a first to collect basis! (That’s around half my cost price!)

This is a supply only offer.. and very much a first come, first served basis.

These images show a very small selection of boiler installations we’ve worked on in local homes over the past year.

Much of our work comes through recommendation, and we’re grateful to customers who trust us with such an important part of their home.

Happy New Year to all our customers and to everyone locally who’s supported us along the way 🥰

As 2026 begins, we wanted to say a genuine thank you to the people who’ve trusted us in their homes over the past year. Whether we’ve seen you in Buckshaw, Chorley, Leyland, or somewhere in between, we never take that trust for granted.

If you’re new here, we’re SJL Heating & Plumbing. We’re a local business, based locally, and most of our work comes from word of mouth. We believe in turning up, explaining things clearly, and leaving your home how we found it ….just warmer!

Looking ahead to 2026, we’ll be keeping our focus on the everyday things that matter:
• Replacing boilers that are past their best
• Improving heating systems so they’re more comfortable and economical
• Helping people get the most out of their controls
• And being there when something stops working on a cold morning

Nothing flashy…. just steady, reliable work for local homes.

🎅🏻🎄 IT’S CHRISTMAS!!!! 🎄🎅🏻

Well, it’s finally time to put down the toolboxes, switch off the phones and let all at SJL Heating & Plumbing have some well earned Christmas family time!

Thanks to everyone for supporting us this year, through the triumphs and the challenges.
Our customers are always our biggest supporters and we will never take that for granted.. we thank you for helping us to continue to thrive and thank you so much for all the recommendations and supporting us the way you do ❤️

A massive thanks to Sam and Fin, two amazing guys who work tirelessly to help as many people as possible and do so in a manner that make me immensely proud. A brilliant team who have, this year, put everything into their work and definitely deserve some rest after an incredibly busy and often stressful winter!

Big shout out to Fin, who started recently and has quickly become a much loved and great addition to the SJL family.
And I can’t finish 2025 without mentioning the amazing Sam, who’s support, kindness, loyalty and amazing work ethic helps make SJL Heating & Plumbing the friendly, trusted business we are so well known for.
