⚠️This is NOT our work.⚠️

We carried out an EICR today on a recently installed electrical installation that had never been inspected, tested or signed off.

Unfortunately, we found a number of issues that now need rectifying before the installation can be considered safe.

Now unfortunately the customer has to pay again to have this put right.

Electrical work isn’t just about making it look neat. (Or trying in this case) It needs to be designed, installed, tested and certified correctly.

Before choosing an electrician, make sure they are properly qualified, insured and able to issue the correct certification for the work they’re carrying out.

Sometimes the cheapest quote ends up being the most expensive once faults have to be put right.

⚡ Another EICR Failure Turned Into a Safe Installation

This property recently failed its EICR due to mixed-brand MCBs and a lack of RCD protection across the installation.

Charlie attended and carried out a full consumer unit replacement, upgrading both boards to bring the installation up to current standards and rectifying all C1 and C2 observations identified during the inspection.

The result?

✅ All C1 and C2 defects rectified
