A few maintenance jobs ticked off this week for one of our regular customers.
The existing decking handrails had started to rot, so we removed them and supplied and fitted new Balau hardwood handrails, reusing the original hardwood spindles to keep everything looking in keeping with the existing deck.
Inside, we fitted butt and bead panelling throughout a small bathroom to give it a fresh new look, and also adjusted some solid oak external doors that had moved slightly with the recent changes in weather.
It's not always the big projects that make the difference – keeping on top of the smaller jobs helps keep your home looking its best and working as it should.

Another project nearing completion for a valued repeat client as their renovation comes to an end.
Over the past few weeks we've been back to carry out a variety of finishing touches throughout the property, including:
✔️ Large Wren kitchen dry fit ready for templating and final works
✔️ Bespoke loft hatch and consumer unit cupboard built to suit the spaces
✔️ Polystyrene cornice installation
✔️ Skirting boards fitted
✔️ Door adjustments to improve operation and closing
✔️ Door stops and missing escutcheons fitted
✔️ Curtain poles installed
✔️ Various other snagging and finishing works
It's often these final details that bring a renovation together and make a house feel complete. We're looking forward to seeing the finished result once the remaining trades have completed their work.

Just completed this staircase upgrade with new handrails, balustrades and newel posts supplied and fitted. 🔨
One of the biggest challenges on this project was the tight staircase, making it difficult to get furniture and larger items upstairs. To solve this, we've designed the handrail and balustrade sections to be fully removable, giving the homeowner easy access whenever needed without compromising on the finished look.
A practical solution that still delivers a clean, modern finish. 👌

This bespoke under-stairs storage solution was constructed from 18mm MR MDF and finished with routed cottage-style detailing. Featuring a push-to-open access door and an additional removable panel, it provides easy access while keeping everything neatly hidden away.

Another loft access upgrade completed.
The client had already purchased a loft ladder for us to fit, but unfortunately it was missing parts and wasn't the best fit for the opening. Rather than leave them without access, we made a last-minute trip to the merchants and supplied and fitted a new 700 x 1000mm Keylite loft ladder the same day.
A much better fit for the space, providing safe, easy access to the loft for years to come.

A great little pantry transformation completed recently.
We redesigned the space to make it more practical and improve storage throughout, including:
✅ New wider 19mm oak veneer shelving
✅ Oak veneer wall panelling
✅ Raised worktop height for a more comfortable workspace
✅ Built-in storage compartment for the air fryer
✅ Bespoke spice rack
✅ Removable worktop section for easier access
✅ New worktop and sink fitted (supplied by the client)

A catio completed recently for a local customer.
Built to provide a secure outdoor space for their cats to enjoy some fresh air while staying safe. Constructed to suit the available space and finished with galvanised mesh and a clear roof to help keep the weather out.
Another tidy project completed and ready for use!

A nice project completed recently for a friend from the builders' merchants.
We built and fitted two bespoke alcove units, each with two display shelves above, two internal shelves for storage, and shaker-style doors to keep everything looking neat and tidy. We also fitted floor-to-ceiling butt and bead panelling throughout the living room, finished off with new skirting boards for a clean, traditional look.
The client supplied all materials, and we took care of the build and installation.

A couple of smaller jobs completed recently 🔨
First up, some bespoke boxing-in and a custom-built unit around a gas meter to keep everything neat, tidy and out of sight while still allowing easy access when needed.
We also fitted new skirting boards and picture rail in a bedroom, giving the room a much more finished and traditional look.
