Teamwork makes the dream work! 🛠️ Highlighting this recently completed project over in Liversedge. This one was a bit of a challenge to coordinate as it was completed right in between a hernia operation, but the lads absolutely stepped up and helped out big time to get this across the finish line as always!

To maximize the space, we adapted the existing concrete posts and panels into the garden to give the clients a much larger, more usable patio area. As you can see from the pictures, we went for a seamless look, running all the steps right through into the main patio area. The Stone Beige wall cladding really makes the whole space pop! ✨

🚨 PATIO DISASTER → FULL TRANSFORMATION 🚨

We were called back to a returning customer who’d been left with an absolute nightmare by another company… and honestly, this one had it all.

At first glance, the porcelain patio didn’t look too bad… but after just one winter, it completely failed 👇

❌ No drainage installed above DPC
❌ Used sweep-in resin instead of proper non-porous grout
❌ Second attempt? Didn’t even remove the original bed
❌ Tiles were dot and dabbed 🤦‍♂️
❌ No slurry primer on most of the tiles
❌ Worst of all… laid straight onto muck — NO hardcore base

This is exactly why cheap work ends up expensive. The customer had already spent a small fortune trying to get it right.

💪 OUR FIX:

✔️ Full rip out of the failed patio
✔️ Excavated and installed a solid hardcore sub-base
✔️ Installed proper drainage to protect the property
✔️ Full wet bed installation (NO shortcuts)
✔️ Primed every tile with slurry
✔️ Carefully relaid to match existing layout (due to mixed tile sizes)
✔️ Finished with flowpoint grout for a clean, durable finish

Now it’s done properly — built to last, not just look good for a few months.
