A huge well done to Bagnalls apprentice, Faith Loynes, on being shortlisted for the PDA Apprentice Paperhanger of the Year Competition 2026! 🙌

Faith has demonstrated exceptional skill, confidence and leadership throughout her apprenticeship, making a lasting impression from the very beginning.

Her latest achievement follows another major success, having been named overall winner in the Senior category of the PDA Annual Apprentice Awards earlier this year. 🏆

Our Group Marketing Director, Joanne Gualda, remembers meeting Faith for the first time at the Bagnalls Training Academy:

“She was helping another apprentice to hang wallpaper around a chimney breast - a particularly tricky job - with such precision and confidence that I assumed she was a third year apprentice!

“When she told me she was a brand-new first year, I couldn’t believe it. Her skill was obvious from day one.”

We're incredibly proud of everything Faith has achieved so far and wish her the very best of luck in the competition. 👏

The Bagnalls balloon in Bristol! 😁

Here’s a selection of just some of the amazing photos taken by our customers, Mike and Kyle Brickell from Bath College, during their incredible hot air balloon flight over Bristol.

They said: “What an amazing experience, we loved every minute. It was such a good day for flying and the views were outstanding.

The rate of young people not in employment, education or training (NEET) is on the rise.

In 2025 alone, 67 million young people were unemployed across the globe. That takes the share of NEET young people up to 20% worldwide - an increase from 19.7% in 2023.

An incredible external painting project at West Midlands Safari Park! 🦒🦜❤️

Our brilliant Wolverhampton branch gave Spring Grove House a careful refresh.

This 1790 Grade II-listed Georgian manor house is nestled within the park’s grounds, which were originally landscaped by the famed Capability Brown. 🌟

We had a great time completing the work on this historic building, with some added supervision from the local duck population! 🦆🪿

We also carried out painting works at the lovely Dino Diner! 🦕
