From 11th September, I’ll be making some changes to my appointment availability to offer more flexibility around work, family and busy schedules.

🦶 Grimsby Clinic appointments will be available:
• Tuesdays
• Saturdays
• Selected later evening appointments on other days

🏡 Home visits are also available, perfect for those who are unable to travel to the clinic or simply prefer treatment in the comfort of their own home.

As availability will be more limited around my university studies, I would always recommend booking in advance where possible.

📞 Message or contact me to book your appointment.

Same person. Both feet. 👣

Befores and Afters.

Calluses and corns are extremely common, especially where there’s repeated pressure, friction or uneven loading across the foot.

🩸 BLOOD BLISTER UNDER CALLUS, WHAT HAPPENED? 👣

A young runner presented with blood blisters on both feet, with layers of callus covering the areas.

• What is it? A blood blister forms when friction or pressure damages small blood vessels, causing blood to collect beneath the skin.

• What did I do? Carefully reduced the overlying callus to relieve pressure and allow the area to be properly assessed.

• Why didn’t I pop it? Keeping the blister roof intact helps protect the tissue underneath and reduces infection risk.

• Aftercare; Padding, reducing friction/pressure and temporarily modifying high-impact activity can help the area settle.

• Healing; The body gradually reabsorbs the blood within the blister. Healing time varies depending on the size/depth of the blister, the amount of ongoing friction and how active you are. Continued running or pressure can delay healing.

• Monitoring; This patient was monitored over several weeks with online follow-ups to make sure the area was progressing appropriately.✨👣

A little about me 🤍

Hi, I’m Sukanya 👋🏼

I’m a fully qualified Foot Health Specialist , and I’m currently on a journey towards becoming a Podiatric Surgeon.

Alongside running my own practice, I’m continuing my studies as a Hybrid student in Glasgow, balancing university, clinic life, business and family life all at once! 🎓🦶🏼

Although my main clinic is based in Grimsby, I also work from a clinic in Mablethorpe and offer mobile appointments across the surrounding areas, making professional foot care as accessible as possible.

Outside of podiatry, I’m a mum, soon to be wife, dog lover 🐶, business owner and huge advocate for the construction and solar industry ☀️. I also have a solar business within the construction sector, which is currently sitting in R&D as we continue working behind the scenes on some very exciting developments.

It’s certainly a busy life 🤍

⚠️ Don’t leave it too long between appointments… 👣

This is what can happen when callus is left to build up without regular treatment. Over time it becomes thicker, harder, and puts much more pressure on the foot, which can make walking uncomfortable and increase the risk of painful cracks and sores.

The longer it’s left, the more there is to remove, meaning treatment often takes longer and can be more uncomfortable than if it had been managed regularly.

✨ Keeping up with routine appointments every 6–8 weeks helps keep your feet comfortable, healthy, and prevents callus from becoming a bigger problem.

If you’re starting to notice hard skin building up, don’t wait until it becomes painful, book in before it gets to this stage! 👣💙

It doesn’t always have to be a big treatment. Sometimes, just having your toenails professionally cut and filed can make such a difference to your comfort.

Whether you can’t quite reach your feet anymore, have thick or difficult nails, or just fancy letting someone else do the job, we’re here to help!

Not every damaged nail is fungal. 👣

It’s one of the most common misconceptions I hear in clinic.

Nails can become thickened, discoloured, brittle or misshapen for many reasons, including:
• Trauma or repeated pressure (often from footwear or sport)
• Previous injury to the nail matrix
• Psoriasis or eczema
• Age-related changes
• Certain medical conditions
• And yes, sometimes a fungal infection

Treating every damaged nail with antifungal products isn’t always the answer. The first step is identifying the underlying cause so the most appropriate treatment can be recommended.

If you’re struggling with a nail that doesn’t look quite right, don’t ignore it or assume it’s fungal. A professional assessment can help determine what’s causing the changes and discuss the best treatment options.
