Evolution of a window into a back door.

The cut-out of the opening is a labour intensive process, involving a Stihl Saw, expertise and some grunt work removing the brick and rubble.

As long as you keep the opening the same width, the lintel is kept and no planning permission is required. This may be different if you are in a conservation area.
