Well done Falcons!

🌬️⚽️ Matchday Reflection – The Falcons 🦅

On a blustery Sunday, the Falcons rose to the challenge and came away with a well-deserved point! 🔵⚽️

Going up against an unknown team playing at a higher level, we knew we were in for a test. As it turned out, we were facing the Goliaths of the LE14 postcode, so all things considered, I think it was a good result on the day!

The conditions certainly played their part, with the strong winds making the ball unpredictable in the air and giving both teams plenty to contend with.

Asfordby Football Club Panthers took the lead in the 18th minute, but Ben responded with a well-taken free kick to bring us level at 1-1, which is how the first half finished. 👏⚽️

Both teams had opportunities in the second half to sn**ch all three points, but neither could find that winning goal.

Player of the Match goes to Milen, for his part in the back 4s work rate keeping their strikers contained.

Coming away with a draw, I have to say I’m pleased with the team’s performance. We competed against a higher-level side, showed plenty of fight and earned a point that the team can be proud of! 💪
