Following the recent fire on Union Street, we were proud to play our part in the successful stabilisation of this historic building by delivering the masonry package.

Working within a challenging environment, our team completed the works while maintaining the high standards of quality, safety and workmanship that we pride ourselves on.

Projects like this demand careful planning, attention to detail and a committed workforce. Credit goes to everyone involved for their professionalism, work ethic and determination throughout.

Yesterday, I stepped well outside of my comfort zone and presented our very first Operations & Systems meeting at the Dakota Eurocentral.

We took the opportunity to review how we’re currently operating, celebrate what has been working well, identify the areas where we need to improve, and introduce new systems that will help us manage our rapid growth more effectively.

On a personal level, I was definitely nervous, and there were moments where those nerves got the better of me. But seeing the team engaged, contributing to the discussion, and buying into the direction we’re heading made it all worthwhile.

Running a business isn’t just about delivering great work—it’s about continuously improving the systems, processes, and leadership that support sustainable growth.

Yesterday was another small step in the right direction, and I’m proud of the progress we’re making. Here’s to building a stronger business, one improvement at a time.

Another project completed in Bearsden, with some great progress made on this renovation.

This phase of the project involved:

* Stripping all existing plasterboard from the walls and ceilings.
* Forming a new rooflight detail, including the installation of flitch beams in accordance with the structural engineer’s drawings.
* Carrying out a masonry knock-through, installing new structural steelwork and a Catnic lintel to form an opening for new aluminium doors.
* Re-sheeting the entire room and ceiling, leaving everything ready for the plasterer.

It’s always satisfying to see a project transformed from the structural stage into a clean, ready-to-finish space. A big thanks to everyone involved for another quality job delivered.
