A recent extension project in Chappel for the wonderful Dave & Pat who were seeking to convert there double garage into a new downstairs snug area. With a new side entrance and gate to the property and creating a fence boundary around there front facing hedgerow.
Garage doors removed and brick work was carefully toothed out and bricked up matching existing bricks. A new hall way was created for the existing house to entwine to the new "snug". The hedge was trimmed back to allow for a new side entrance.
A previous existing iron gate was then re-installed and new path laid using recycled Indian sandstone to match the rear patio.
A really diverse project but utilising the multiple skills cherished landscapes delivers

A recent opportunity to transform a unique and loved garden in West Bergholt. The original retaining wall for planting beds were subsiding so new foundations were dug and a lovely new wall and step detail was created using sandstone walling. Original paving had moved over the years so an appropriate depth was excavated to install a new sub-base and fresh new Indian sand stone slabs were laid and jointed a with a beautiful grey speckle jointing compound.
Original grass had problems developing on such little topsoil so grassed area was dug out and a decent depth of fresh top soil add. Then new turf was laid.
A beautiful transformation and a massive thank you to Peter for the ample amounts of coffee supplied and Monty the spaniel for the daily enthusiasm.
