We had a busy month of celebrations last month!

We were invited to Suffolk Food Hall for the LABC regional awards ceremony by Babergh and Mid Suffolk Building Control to collect the highly commended award for Browns Barn.

Andy and Molly also had the day out to attend Molly's Graduation at the Southbank Centre in London following the completion of her four year level 6 apprenticeship at London South Bank University to obtain her bachelors degree.

It's great to take a moment to appreciate our achievements every now and then!

Another project recently started on site

we recently undertook the planning and building regulations for Weeks Group for a 3 Bedroom Chalet Bungalow with associated garage and amenity space.

LABC Building Excellence Awards 2025

We were very pleased two have two of our recent projects nominated for the regional awards for East Anglia.

Commercial Units

We recently obtained planning permission and building regulation approval for two commercial units. the site has just been cleared ready to start in the new year.

It will be good to see this project progress with it being so local to our office.

Residential Extensions & Refurbishment Design & Build

We have worked alongside Wright Ruffell Sturricks at this coastal bungalow to remove an existing Conservatory and replace with a modern glazed extension up to current standards to create a space which can be enjoyed throughout the year.
The scheme also included converting the garage to form an annex and extensive landscaping improvements. The customers are very pleased with the outcome ready for Christmas.

A stunning project completed just in time for Christmas!

For the past year we have been working closely with our client in Suffolk at their stable redevelopment project, the property had already received planning approval to convert and link the stables but it didn't suit our clients needs, following a tentative redesign and many conversations with planning and heritage officers we obtained planning permission and building regulation approval for a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with open-plan living, dining and kitchen.

We worked very hard to retain and restore the key heritage features of the existing property whilst creating a home fit for modern living with some spectacular features like the glazed hallway, double sided fireplace and oak framed bifold doors to name just a few!

We are very pleased to have obtained Full Planning permission for our clients rear and side extension to create an open plan living-dining space and master bedroom with ensuite and Velux roof lights throughout.

The application received some adverse comments from neighbours but after conversations and negotiations with the planning officers we were able to obtain permission on their original design with no alterations.

The next stage will be to complete their building regulations and structural calculations for the build.

Roof Lanterns & Velux Windows

Today we got to visit a project we obtained planning permission for and completed building regulations to create a 6 bedroom care facility with 4 carer suites which is now in the final stages of the build.

We were very pleased with how the project has come to life, especially the covered patio. the clients brief was to create a level access covered patio where residents could enjoy the gardens all year round. To elevate this space we added two large Flat Roof lanterns for natural light not only onto the patio but into the kitchen and dining room inside.

Roof Lanterns let in up to three times more light than a vertical window while Velux let in up to two times more light than a vertical window, they are a great alternative for projects where vertical windows are not possible.
