Here are some photos of a huge project we had the pleasure of being a part of; a 9m wide green oak pergola in Coggeshall, built by us to our client's design.

It was a difficult build due to it's shape and being partly located over a pond but we like a challenge!

We had the task of repairing the bases of a pair of pilasters of a 19th Century portico on a Grade II listed building in Manningtree, Essex.

The base of both of the pilasters had decayed beyond repair so we turned a matching pair of replacements on the lathe to copy the originals.

Scroll through the photos to see the finished work - we were very happy with the overall result.

Here are a couple of before and after photos of a garden bench restoration we completed.

After rescuing the bench from the scrap-man, it was sand blasted back to bare metal and powder coated in a sky-blue finish.

The new slats were made from Suffolk grown oak, cut and seasoned by us.

The bench was finally reassembled using exterior grade stainless steel fixings.

We were lucky enough to be asked by our client to custom build them a hall table from some beautiful pieces of English walnut and ash.

All of the timber was grown in Essex, cut by us using our mobile sawmill and seasoned for several years before starting the build.

Before delivery we were lucky enough to admire it in our own home, and to get the table acclimatised to being in a centrally heated room.

Our clients were very happy with the end result, as were we.

Hello all πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

Here are some photos of my new workbench in place in the workshop.

Redwood and iroko were used to build the workbench, using traditional joinery techniques throughout the process of making it.

Scroll through the photos to see the finished product.
