One to think about for your next IR or DR plan update?

Flip a cyber attack around - how would your business operate if one of your core supply chain or profit making clients collapsed or stopped? The JLR breach took out half their supply chain aswell as themselves. Some may never recover and will go bust.

Your invoices wouldn’t get paid, maybe for months, if at all. Your customer projects, sales, parts and servicing may all cease. How would this affect your own business? Are you diverse enough to take the impact? Would your insurance cover it? Does dealing with smaller players and those with less or no cyber hygiene increase your risk?

Vetting your supply chains and customers information security should not be an afterthought. They ask for your standards. Are you asking for theirs? No good growing a business if you can’t protect it.
