Engineers must be hardworking, punctual and reliable. Ideal candidates will have good communication skills and a willingness to develop their skills and abilities within an expanding business.

Warehouse is overflowing with all these big garage door contracts! 📦

It’s a good problem to have. Right now we’re stacked floor to ceiling — and it’s mainly up-and-overs going out, every one of them booked in and waiting on an install date.

The up-and-over is still the workhorse of the garage door world, and for good reason. One solid panel that tilts up and back on a counterbalanced spring system, available on canopy gear (where the door sits proud of the opening and takes up no roof space) or retractable gear (where the whole door pulls back inside on horizontal tracks for a neater finish and easier automation).

They’re strong, simple, low maintenance, and there’s a huge range of panel styles and finishes — so whether it’s a period property or a new build estate, there’s a door that suits.

Time for a colour change… 💚

Our customer fancied something a bit different, and this Chartwell Green Rivington Select side hinge door delivers exactly that. It’s a colour that’s become hugely popular on front doors — and it works just as well on the garage.

This one’s a 50/50 split configuration, meaning both leaves are equal width. It’s a great practical choice — if you’re mainly using the garage for storage, bikes, or the lawnmower, you can open just one side for quick access without swinging the whole door open. And when you do need the full width, both leaves open right back out of the way.

Side hinge doors are a brilliant option for anyone after that traditional look with modern build quality — solid, secure, and easy to operate by hand with no springs or mechanisms to worry about.

Time for the industrial side to take some of the limelight 🔧

This week the team took on a big repair job — not one but two Dynaco fast action doors, running as an automated, interlocked pair.

Here’s the clever part: these high-speed doors are set up so one won’t open until the other has fully closed. That interlock creates an airlock between the two openings, and it’s doing a serious job. It holds temperature steady across the threshold, stops warm and cold air mixing, and forms a physical barrier against vermin, dust and contaminants getting where they shouldn’t. In a temperature- and hygiene-critical environment, that’s not a nice-to-have — it’s essential.

Dynaco fast action doors are built for exactly this: rapid open-and-close cycles that minimise air exchange, a tough flexible curtain, and a tight seal that keeps the outside out.
