What is spiking?🍹💊💉

Spiking is defined as giving an individual drugs or alcohol without their knowledge or consent. Spiking can take place in many forms including in a drink, in a v**e, or by injection from a needle.

80% of reported spiking incidents take place in a public places, especially pubs and nightclubs. Together we can help one another to recognise if someone is in a dangerous situation and learn how to assist them‼️

Here’s some tips on how to stay safe during a heatwave ⬇️

⛱️ - Attempt to stay in the shade during peak times of the day (11am-3pm)
💦 - Make sure you also consume water or soft drinks alongside alcohol so you don’t get dehydrated.
🥂 - Moderate your alcohol consumption by drinking in turn low alcohol drinks or non-alcoholic drinks.
🧴- Apply sun cream regularly and use a factor that suits your skin.
🍔 - Do not drink on an empty stomach, eat a well balanced meal to line your stomach.

“Ask for Angela" is a brilliant safety campaign designed to help people who feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or threatened while on a night out. If someone feels they are in danger or need help, they can discreetly approach a staff member and "ask for Angela." This coded phrase alerts trained staff to offer assistance—such as helping the person leave safely, calling a taxi, or contacting authorities—without drawing attention or escalating the situation.
