PROJECT COMPLETION | RINGSEND WwTP, DUBLIN

LDC Electrics is proud to have completed a Large 21-month Electrical Retrofit Project at Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant, delivered for Uisce Éireann, working alongside Murphy Group.

The works formed part of the Hybrid Package 2 SBR Blocks Retrofit, involving the decommissioning of existing plant systems and the design, supply & installation of new Power & control systems across 3No. SBR Blocks within a live operational plant serving Dublin city and surrounding areas.

Project scope included:

Fitting of MCC control panels

FRP & stainless-steel containment throughout.

Variety of cabling types for-Pumps, Motors, Valves and instrumentation

Cathodic protection systems

Building services & trace heating

Delivered continuously over multiple phases, with crews of up to 16-18 operatives at peak, this project contributes to improving the robustness and long-term performance of a critical national wastewater asset.

A major milestone completed — well done to everyone involved.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱

We are pleased to announce that LDC Electrics has been awarded the full electrical site installation package for two P-Removal Upgrade projects on NEC 4 Contracts, to be delivered for Southern Water with Ward & Burke acting as Main Contractor.

These projects represent another important milestone for our team who are now featuring on Southern Water Schemes and reflect the continued trust placed in LDC Electrics to deliver complex electrical installations within the water and wastewater sector.

We would like to thank Southern Water and Ward & Burke for the opportunity and look forward to working collaboratively to deliver these schemes safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

🌟 Project Completion Update – Butler WTW 🌟

LDC Electrics is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Lighting Upgrade & Fire Aspiration System Installation at Butler Water Treatment Works.

This project involved a full overhaul of site lighting along with the integration of a modern fire aspiration system to enhance safety, efficiency, and long-term operational reliability across the facility.

A huge thank-you to our On site & Project team and partners for delivering another quality project. 👷‍♂️💡

With the month of October started, that draws a close to Leons charity swim challenge, well done to Leon from LDC Electrics, who we wont see in any competition swims going forward but he has learned a new skill (Swimming) and — raising over £3,000 for Comic Relief through the ! 🏊

What started as a personal challenge quickly turned into something very rewarding — countless lengths, early mornings, and cold swims, all in the name of helping others.

Huge well done to Leon for putting so much effort into a great cause and inspiring the whole team (and community) along the way. 🌊

Massive thanks to all who donated & pushed him along in the early morning swim sessions, Every donation & word of encouragement made a real difference — thank you all! 🙌

Comic Relief

We’re proud to share that LDC Electrics has recently installed a brand-new defibrillator — a small piece of equipment that could make a big difference in an emergency.

As electricians, safety is always at the heart of what we do — and this was a project we felt truly passionate about supporting. Having quick access to a defib can save lives, and we’re glad to play our part in helping make our local working community that bit safer for everyone.🤝 👷

For the Month of September, Leon is participating in .

Leon’s challenge is ‘swimple’ 👀 .

Swim 15km with no rubber arm bands or swim aids. He has been taken swimming lessons to learn to swim for this challenge and putting in the work. So a lofty challenge for a first timer.

You can ‘catch’ him every morning at The Glenavon House hotel where he will be putting his swimming lessons to great use & for a great cause!

He loves a crowd & good support, Leon might even put up a small video for the supporters off the last leg of his swim!

LDC Electrics are grateful to be awarded a substantial Fire & Site Lighting project on Butler WTW (South East Water-Uk) for Murphys Group.

The project has just recently started and will be project managed, Designed, Installed and Tested By LDC Electrics workforce.

It will consist of Addressable & Aspirating fire systems, along with Street lighting, Building & Tank’s Permitter lighting & Task flood Lighting.

LDC have recently completed Dagnal, Purton & Washwater WTW-WAAP upgrade projects.

This was 3 awarded projects on the WAAP upgrade programme for Thames water.
LDC where the electrical contractors who design and installed the works under an NEC contract for Ward & Burke who are the Tier 1 contractor to Thames Water.
The installation compiled of Design, Manage & install of new inlet screens, Pumping stations, water improvement and control/analysing equipment, along with general Street lighting upgrades around each site. A section of this works involved (Explosive atmosphere works) ATEX Design, install and verification which LDC are competent in carrying out to meet the appropriate safety install/standards surrounding these specific atmosphere types.
