Now this is something different! I just installed this beautiful bespoke door for a customer today. They commissioned me to make a custom door slab to incorporate some stained glass panels from their old house. I know my limits, so full credit for the joinery and painting go to

Let’s hear it for the small spaces! Often overlooked - I’m always showing off the big projects, but in some ways the small spaces are more challenging. You have to come up with some creative ideas to maximise every millimetre of space and be even more precise with measurements.

Try building a fruit cage without this song going round your head! I’ve had fun in the sun putting this together. The client gave me free rein to make an interesting feature in the walled garden to keep the birds off their fruit trees and this is what I came up with.

The doors are on!
Spray finished with Farrow & Ball Wevet 273, these doors are shaker style with a beaded detail in the panel. The solid pewter handles add a final touch of elegance.

I almost finished this beautiful bespoke wardrobe in time for Christmas but an unexpected delay with the doors means I’m finished up for the holidays but the wardrobe isn’t! Never mind, it will get finished in the new year and the customer can still use it in the meantime.

As Steve Wright might once have said, this is some serious skirtin’ (no G). It’s huge - 220mm high and 25mm thick - and weighs a ton, but I have been smiling to myself all day while I’ve been getting it cut and fitting it. I’m fitting it in an old house and I’ve had to scribe the base of each board to get it to sit flat and level, but the satisfaction is high when they fit.
