It's an industrial job today. We're wiring up two boilers delivered in containers. Both are permanent fixtures but modular, with one boiler for daily use and the other for redundancy.

We are moving a consumer unit eight meters from under an inaccessible kitchen cupboard into a hallway. The new unit will also be upgraded to a Lewden unit with RCBOs. To extend the meter tails, a 25mm2 three-core SWA cable from the meter cupboard to the new location in the hallway is needed. All the existing cables also need to be extended eight metres. We are almost done.

Day2: Job complete. The lights are daylight, 6000 kelvin, so it will make a massive difference in seeing colours as opposed to the old sodium lights, which are very monotone. The LED floodlights installed are asymmetric floodlights that use reflectors to direct light in front of the fixture where illuminance is required, compared with symmetrical floodlights, which distribute light evenly in all directions. Asymmetric floodlights are superior in concentrating light where needed compared with symmetric versions. Asymmetric is achieved using cutting-edge lens technology, allowing it to direct the beam to the selected area. This, in turn, enables asymmetric floodlights to achieve up to 50% better output utilisation in the intended illuminated area.
