Brickwork complete. Roof timbers going up.
The masonry is upto wall plate on this build, and we are moving fast to get the roof structure in place.
This is the stage where the job stops looking like raw materials and starts looking like a proper build.
Clean lines, solid work.

Brickwork nearly complete 🧱

A quick update on the first-floor extension we’ve been working on.
The brickwork is now getting close to being completed.
Making sure the new brickwork ties into the existing building and keeping everything lining through, level and plumb.
A few more courses and we’ll have the brickwork finished. 👌

First floor taking shape 🧱

Currently working on this first-floor extension, building directly over an existing ground-floor extension.
It’s one of those jobs where getting the details right really matters.
Tying into the existing structure, keeping everything level and plumb, getting the openings right and making sure the brickwork ties in properly with what’s already there.
Slowly starting to take shape now.
Another job where it’s about doing it properly, not just getting it up quickly. 👌

Old wall, new lease of life. 🧱

This tired old garden wall needed some serious attention.
We carefully rebuilt the damaged sections using reclaimed bricks, matching the existing wall as closely as possible so the finished work looks like it belongs there.
A bit of patience, a lot of fiddly brickwork, and plenty of cleaning up afterwards.
Another wall brought back to life rather than simply knocked down and replaced.

A recent project on home turf! 🏡🛠️

Managed to squeeze this front-of-house makeover in between regular jobs.

Built a new timber framed porch structure, laid sandstone paving, and topped off the rest with fresh decorative gravel.
It’s always a little extra rewarding getting to work on your own place, but it’s definitely good to have it checked off the list!
