Another Boiler fitted end of last week for this job. The old boiler had a good innings and a great boiler in its day.

The customer was happy to stick with .uk as they get a 10 year parts and labour warranty and the after care service is quality.

As with every combi swap we do a Magna cleanse flush as standard. Upgraded controls to a new Hive smart thermostat which will improve efficiency greatly as they had no control whatsoever before.

Busy week started off with this system Conversion , all tanks removed , Baxi 24kw system boiler fitted with 200l slime line unvented , system thoroughly flushed . Dual channel Hive fitted.

This Boiler was going to cost too much to fix, so the customer decided on a new install with the added security of a 10 year parts and labour warranty. The boiler benefits from brass hydraulics and a stainless steel heat exchanger for longevity.

A lot more pipework needed cutting out than first thought but made@for a much neater job in the end.

New gas run from the meter and upgraded controls bringing it up to current regs. The system was flushed using the Magna cleanse machine.

🔥 Another Installation Completed 🔧

I recently carried out a full new boiler installation for a homeowner, upgrading their heating system to something far more efficient and reliable.

Here’s what was involved 👇

✅ Full system flush to remove sludge and debris

🚨 Another Important Find During a Routine Service 🚨

I recently carried out a service on a Vaillant boiler and found a couple of issues that could have easily been missed.

Firstly, there was a hole in the flue and several screws were missing.

The flue is responsible for safely removing harmful gases from your home. If it is damaged or not secured correctly, it can become a serious safety risk.

Issues like this can:
⚠️ Allow products of combustion to escape
⚠️ Compromise safe operation
⚠️ Increase the risk of carbon monoxide entering the property

This was rectified properly, with the flue secured and sealed as it should be.

While servicing the boiler, I also replaced the G10 seal and electrode gasket. These components are essential for maintaining a safe combustion chamber seal. Over time they can deteriorate, and if they fail it can affect both performance and safety.

Everything was cleaned, resealed and tested, leaving the boiler safe, compliant and running efficiently.

This is exactly why annual servicing is so important. It is not just about keeping your boiler running. It is about keeping your home and family safe.

🚨 Safety First on This One 🚨

I was recently called out to a Worcester boiler with a couple of serious issues that needed sorting properly and safely.

As you can see from the photos, the electrode glass had cracked. This is not something to ignore.

When electrode glass cracks it can:
⚠️ Affect ignition performance
⚠️ Cause poor combustion
⚠️ Lead to potential carbon monoxide risk
⚠️ Cause internal damage to the boiler

Carbon monoxide is colourless and odourless, so anything that compromises safe combustion is a real concern. This was replaced with a new, genuine repair kit to ensure safe and reliable operation.

While carrying out the repair, I also found a leaking flow adapter. Left alone, this would have continued to cause water damage inside the boiler casing and potentially lead to bigger, more expensive problems.

Both issues were repaired on the same visit, leaving the boiler safe, sealed and running as it should.

This is exactly why regular servicing is so important. Small cracks and minor leaks can quickly turn into serious safety risks if they are not picked up early.

🔥 Recent Repair Completed in Coventry 🔧

I was recently called out to a boiler with a leaking diverter valve.

If you have ever noticed water dripping from your boiler or your heating and hot water not switching over properly, a faulty diverter valve is often the culprit.

The Issue

This boiler had a leaking diverter valve, which can lead to:

Little repair to a heating system today all sorted back up and working.

Full central heating finished off this week , boiler and 5 radiators all copper pipe work throughout wrapped and clipped . New gas run, vertical flue and EPH programmable room thermostat.

The customer is over the moon and moving into there new house tomorrow after renting for years , nice job satisfaction with this one. 😎

On a routine service and the first time this boiler had been done in around 4-5 years . Found the fan turret seal had disintegrated creating emission issues and damage inside the boiler. Had this been serviced annually the fault would have been picked up and parts would have been available proving why it’s so important to have your boiler serviced.

The boiler was made safe until we replaced with a
New vaillant 424 Ecotech plus fitted but adjusted the output as the full 24kw was not required for this property. Also fitted new grundfos ups4 pump and Hive smart thermostat.
As with every boiler installation the system was thoroughly flushed.

10 year parts and labour warranty.
