Top tips for interior designers working with smart tech installers 👇

1. Engage us early in the project.

2. Communicate constantly.

3. Trust that we want the same outcome for the client as you.

Whilst interior designers focus on ensuring that the spaces they’re working on meet a client’s design vision through spatial planning, furniture selection, and colour suggestions, smart technology installers like us focus on enhancing the client’s experience of that design.

We want our clients’ technology to complement an interior designer's design vision, not distract from it.

There's been no such thing as putting the feet up for the Epitome Living team this week. ⚡️

We:

- Travelled to Scarva, Newtownabbey, Portrush, and Malahide for client projects.

- Visited a potential new project site in Belfast.

- Networked in Fermanagh with NI Chamber of Commerce.

- Hung out at the Indigo Distribution HQ in Bangor for the team's annual open day.

- Launched our virtual CPD session for solo architects in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland (tickets available at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1991458971392?aff=oddtdtcreator).

All whilst holding things down at the office and showroom and pitching ideas to potential new clients over the phone.

We're grateful to be so busy as we show people how technology can help them live simplified lives at home and at work.⚡️

We're hosting a virtual CPD for solo architects and interior designers in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

If you work independently and don't have the capacity to invite us to deliver a presentation to you in person, this event is for you.

Designing the Connected Home is the foundational CPD for a series of Royal Institute of British Architects and British Institute of Interior Design accredited CEDIA CPD courses on smart home technology.

Through Designing the Connected Home attendees will learn:

> Why infrastructure and networks matter for successful home technology projects
> What integrated technology looks like in a connected home
> Why and how to work with smart technology professionals, from when to get in touch to defining scope

“Smart technology is the cherry on top of our build”

Our client Wendy shared this with us when we visited her home recently to do some routine maintenance on her home cinema and whole-home smart system.

Whilst Jordan saw to the tech, Amy sat down with Wendy to talk about why she decided to get Epitome Living involved in her build and what she loves most about her home.

Wendy met Scott at a Selfbuild Ireland Extend & Renovate show in Belfast, and after a couple of years, her build was complete with a full Loxone UK smart system and home cinema designed and installed by our team.
