A proud moment for our SCJ Renewables team⚡️

We’ve completed the final phase of our solar installation at Ramside Hall in County Durham — with 364 new panels powering ‘The Pin’, the resort’s new entertainment and driving range facility!

The five-star hotel will now produce;

💡 Estimated 324,700 kWh of energy each year
💰 £81,000 in estimated annual savings
🌍 160 tonnes of CO₂ reduced

🌱 Investing in the future of renewables

We’re proud to welcome Finley Lackenby-Mason and Louis Hunter as the newest members of the SCJ Renewables team!

Finley, 18, joins us while studying a Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician course at Gateshead College – and Louis, 16, has just left school and is starting his journey with us alongside a Level 1 Installation and Maintenance Electrician course at Newcastle College.

Both approached us directly after hearing great things about SCJ Renewables and as Solar PV Apprentices, they’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of renewable energy projects, while working towards their formal qualifications.

At SCJ Renewables, we believe apprenticeships are essential for growing strong, sustainable careers and building the future of clean energy. With the increasing demand for solar and sustainable solutions, we’re committed to developing the next generation of skilled professionals.

Another ground breaking addition from the SCJ team ⚡

Our first ever Operation & Maintenance Care Package (O&MCP) is now a key component of the 1.5MWp Solar PV system for British Engines at their Rotary Power site.

The 20ft container serves as the nerve centre for future operations and maintenance of the site, designed to streamline servicing and ensure long-term efficiency.

The O&MCP includes:
• Hard copies of comprehensive as-built drawings
• Full suite of test results and equipment manuals
• A dedicated care package with original system build materials
• Spare PV modules
• Mounting system components
• Cables and essential consumables

The O&MCP is built to assist operations and maintenance activities for years to come – standing as a true testament to our commitment to sustainable, forward-thinking energy solutions.

North East collaboration is key 👏

We’re delighted to have completed our project with Solar Capture Technologies , to deliver a full solar system upgrade at Solar Capture’s facility in Blyth.

All 144 x 200W solar tiles were manufactured by Solar Capture, right here in the North East – with the system generating over 22,000kWh of clean energy and reducing CO₂ emissions by an estimated 10,000kg each year.

Anything is possible when local expertise, innovative technology, and strong collaboration come together!
