Check out the new play equipment going in at one of our local schools! 👀

Our team at Ashwood Grounds Maintenance are really enjoying getting this installed and helping create a great space for the kids to play. We always love supporting local schools and being part of projects in the community – it’s what being local is all about!

Exciting times in our EYFS garden! 🌿✨

The transformation is well underway, and we couldn’t wait to share a little sneak peek with you all. Our brand-new climbing structure is officially up and ready for some serious physical play in the near future. The team is currently busy crafting our wooden canopy to ensure we have a beautiful, shaded spot for outdoor learning and quiet moments.

The children have been watching out the window with huge smiles and lots of "wow" moments—they are absolutely buzzing to get out there and explore!

Ashwood are a family run business based in Cramlington, Northumberland and hold a large amount of grounds maintenance contracts across the North East. With family values, Ashwood ensures employees are looked after and progressed through training to upskill and therefore benefit both the individual and the business.

Looking for a competent, enthusiastic and reliable person who enjoys working outdoors, previous experience as a groundsman or skilled in hands on work is required for this role. Additional training will be given as required. With an eye for detail to deliver work to the highest standard.

Your time can be split across two jobs - As well as your main role of working in a team carrying out grounds maintenance across schools and businesses - this will include, but not be limited to, grass cutting (hand mowers/ride ons), strimming, hedge cutting as well as winter maintenance (gritting, snow clearing) - you will also be an adhoc works labourer, supporting the teams in works such as fencing, paving, decking etc.

You must be able to work within a team and as an individual.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent

Salary: £20,000 minimum

Schedule:

Average working week - 36.5 hours on average - 45 hours in the summer season, 24 hours in the winter season. Paid the same wage throughout.
