The Royal Life Saving Society UK launched their Drowning Prevention Week campaign. They have lots of fantastic resources to teach children and us adults the importance of water safety.
In the last 5years more 1,500 people have accidentally died from drowning in the uk and Ireland, that is a huge number!
It’s never too early to learn, the youngest Keay has had her first life saving swimming lesson today at age 3!!!
If you have a few minutes to spare have a look at their resources, the statistics really shocked me!

ABOUT US 🐬
Delfina's Swim School is a small, friendly, family run swim school who is passionate about teaching young people swimming. We are accredited with Swim England and operate from a small, warm pool in Kempston, Bedfordshire. Our lessons run every Sunday, term-time from 10am to 1pm. Our classes are small and manageable with 4 swimmers to 1 teacher and assistant. If you feel you have the experience and would like to know more about our friendly team, please get in contact today for a chat!

DUTIES 🐬
* Conduct swim lessons and provide instruction to classes of 4 children of all ages and skill levels
* Tailor lessons to meet the needs of each swimmer
* Teach lessons in line with Swim England Learn to Swim Framework/Standards
* Teach proper swimming techniques, including strokes, breathing, and water safety
* Monitor and ensure the safety of all swimmers during lessons
* Provide feedback and guidance to help swimmers improve their skills
* Maintain a clean and organised pool area

REQUIREMENTS 🐬
* Swim England or STA Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification
* Previous experience in sports coaching or swim instruction is preferred
* Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety
* Ability to effectively communicate and educate individuals of all ages
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
* Current NPLQ or NRASTC certifications (or willingness to obtain)
* Current Swim England Safeguarding Qualification (or willingness to obtain)
* Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
