We’ve recently been working for a local authority carrying out crown lifting works along main bus routes to highways specifications.

Using a specially modified double decker bus, purpose built for tree work, one of our teams was able to safely drive the routes, identify and clear vegetation that could otherwise cause damage to high-sided vehicles.

This unique setup allows us to work efficiently while helping to keep roads moving, safe and accessible for public transport and other large vehicles.

ThrowbackThursday to one very special tree here in Crawley 🌳👑

This incredible Hawthorn tree, estimated to be around 225 years old with a girth of almost 4 metres at the base, was selected as one of just 70 Ancient Trees celebrating the late Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy initiative.

County Tree Surgeons have worked on and cared for this remarkable tree over many years, including installing the support system around 15 years ago.

By supporting the structure of the tree rather than carrying out weight reduction works, we were able to help retain its natural form, maintain its health, and reduce the risk of introducing disease through pruning cuts.

A fantastic example of veteran tree management and preserving an important part of our local landscape for future generations. 💚🌳👑

Large project completed on the King Charles III Coastal Path 🌊🌳

Our Rights of Way teams worked together to complete a full overhaul of an existing 133 metre boardwalk constantly exposed to the force of high tide and coastal conditions.

The project involved removing sections of the existing structure, installing new saddles with extended anchoring legs for increased strength and durability, alongside fitting a brand new handrail on the coastal side to further improve stability and public safety.

A fantastic team effort delivering long term improvements to an important section of the coastal path.
