Went with Kathy and the kids yesterday to plant up this garden I did. Dug out over 80 tons of earth from a slope and built the drystone wall in front of reinforced one. Laid a new lawn back and front and made a shed base. Looking forward to see how the plants fill out.

Well, after two people asking me if I had a page for my business in two days I thought it might be a good idea to make one. So, I've only just done this today.
For my Facebook mates who discover this and don't know the working me - here's more or less what I do. I actually do a lot more (my next job is foundations and brickwork for a conservatory and the one after that just some garden maintenance).

Another Indian sandstone paving job. Worth me uploading this one as it shows how I can tackle unsightly manholes and grids by installing recessed units and cutting the stone in neatly to fit. The same job also has a bit of natural stone tiling round the plant beds as a nice detail.

Here's a few "before and after" pics from a job. The end two pics show the garden as some rough grass on a slope and with the micro-digger in part way though and the whole place looking very like a building site! At the end I had made a small curved waterfall/pool, a curved seating bench, raised planted borders, sanstone paving, a new lawn and even some LED remote control lighting mounted by core-drilling the stonework.

A couple of features showing a small wall/ seat with large slabs of Milnrow sandstone on. I picked these up direct from the quarry as offcuts from machining. They're great for making huge steps or seat tops. The second pic is just some granite setts mounted in to the ground in front of a break in a dwarf stone wall round the front of the same house.

Another drystone wall seating area. This one was big enough to get a dozen people sitting round it with ease. The heavy duty steel fire pit in the middle was made by a local engineering company and was mounted on granite setts.

A medium sized back garden full makeover. After putting in a new fence (with multiple level gravelboards) I used 10 tons of local stone that combines really well with a couple of crates of Indian sandstone. All plants (a trade bulk buy) and the bang-on quality turf locally sourced too!
